That’s basically what I tried teaching my elders. Unsuccessfully cause they took a cs course in college (60 years prior), but ultimately, if it’s in an email, dont click it seemed to stick.

Sounds to me like a calibration issue. Without delving deep into settings hidden from you, I’m not sure what you can do.
