Probably a scam, either way it’s nothing to worry about. Use a VPN, stop sharing torrents after they are done, and check if your network configuration IS on a static ip. Your friend doesn’t seem to be too knowledgeable and shouldn’t leave his torrents running 24/7.

This all seems ridiculous or you’re over exaggerating. No hacker has this much information unless it was there for them.

Use mfa. Your TV, asks if devices can access. Log into your main internet admin usually like 10.0.0.1 and see what devices are connected. Remove suspicious ones and re add, change your password.

We have a neighbor that creates music or some crap. He’s nice and all but he blasts that stuff. We live in a brick building, so don’t hear much unless it’s really loud. Maybe try noise canceling foam pads on the side where they are? It’s not really unattractive…but, maybe it would help relieve some.

More than one device can support 5g. I have my desktop and both chromecasts on it, no issue and our wifi sucks. Backup laptop is on 2.4 and our phones vary. Your parents kinda sound ignorant dealing with that or extra devices connected when they shouldn’t be tbh. Check your router admin and see what’s actually connected.

Ethernet cables are the problem like 1% of the time. Check your firmware and or drivers for ethernet.
