I get your point. But I still think it’s a shame small companies demand so much work from the buyers. Some do the setup process better (XLN) and some do it extremely bad. In the end we are talking about plug ins. They should “plug in” if you know what I mean. It drives people to buy whole libraries from one company, like Native instruments, just because they don’t want their workstation to be bloated with tools and spend evenings on installing VSTs. And about iLok. It works fine. But to have to install something that looks like Windows 8 in 2023 is just frightening. Especially if it just serves the purpose of the seller. I think there are simpler ways to protect your product than to force me into installing weird stuff.
