Slow internet speeds on pc

I just got a new router because we had fiber network installed. I have 500mb/s download and upload speed. But when I try checking the speed on my stationary pc I only get 30-40mb/s. I have updated and reinstalled the network card drivers but didn’t have any luck. I have a ASUS PCE-AX3000 wifi Adapter. Also saw that my pc only connects to the 2.4ghz network and not the 5ghz, and I can’t understand why

Step 1) Get a better Wi-Fi adapter that can connect to 5GHz

Step 2) Use the better internet connection to buy an ethernet cable and don’t complain about Wi-Fi being slower. This topic has been beaten worse than most orphans.
