    Rabert cited increasing disagreements over the development approach, including opposition to his use of AI-assisted tools. The restrictive environment led to his decision to leave the official project.

    There is also no indication that the Jellyfin server, its applications, or its repositories are being abandoned. Development continues, and both departing team members are working with the remaining maintainers to transfer their responsibilities.

    God I love it. FoSS projects screeching about AI and their prejudice and destroying themselves. Just absolutely fantastic shit from the always reasonable foss community.

      I think it’s not that big of a deal to ask for people to pump the brakes a bit on the thing that is using an outrageous amount of resources to do the stuff we were always doing.

      To clarify, I’m not saying there’s no use for “AI” just saying that maybe we haven’t quite figured out its appropriate use.
