Hey guys, dummy here, I was playing a game on my laptop (Alienware Area 51 MR2) which requires both power sources to be plugged in to allow the internet to run properly, my game was lagging so the first thing I checked was my power cords, to my surprise, one was one loose, I plugged it in but my game was still lagging, internet was fine so I restart my pc, turned it back on started playing and kept lagging, i made the mistake of pulling the power chord while the PC was on, I heard a pop sound and my computer immediately shut off, following the pop sound came the strong smell of burning, I took the tray off from the bottom of the laptop but don’t see anything burnt or wrong, man on deployment with nothing else to do, desperately need help😭

That doesn’t make a ton of sense for the internet thing but shelving that for now it sounds like you somehow let out the magic smoke.

Several questions, are you combat deployed or at one of our many bases in Asia or Europe where you could drop by an electronics shop?

I’m guessing it’s a no but is your laptop covered by a dell warranty, if so which kind?

Where these the factory power bricks or 3rd party?
