I work at a sign shop and our IT guy is his own business and only comes in once a week. On Windows 10 I suddenly cannot print to any network printers, as they show “not connected”. Acrobat thinks no printers are even installed. Trying to add a printer says that print spooler service is not running. Tried restarting print spooler service as I’ve seen suggested but that does nothing. It is not starting automatically even though it is set to. No one else is having this same problem. Any other ideas?
Have you rebooted? If not I’d start there.
Can you call your IT guy? I get that he’s not there everyday, I’m actually rarely at one my customer’s offices, but this is the type of thing that can be fixed remotely usually. And even if that can’t be done " I’ll be there in 4 days" seems like a weird response.
I forgot to mention that I don’t have much faith in him. Rather try any ideas people might have here. Having these printers working isn’t really critical for what I do, I’d just like to get them working eventually. And yes, I have restarted several times.
