ok so a while back when I still had windows 10 I looked up a guide on youtube how to essentially port(?) the look of ms paint thats on win 11 because I thought it looked cool. But now after I updated to 23h2 I didn’t get my new awesomesauce paint with layers and transparency so I guess having (kind of?) a bootleg version of ms paint messes with the updates and I don’t remember how I installed it so please help
If you factory reinstall windows through a usb it should fix this issue. Here’s a great guide: https://youtu.be/cZHmdJqrogI?si=W_sRBVVkQfHJ4qcl
If this doesn’t work I’m honestly not sure what’s wrong.
Not sure I want to go to such extremes just yet
It is odd though cause I think installing win 11 would get rid of this “bootleg” version of windows. Do you remember how you installed windows 11 paint on windows 10? Better yet if you can provide the video that would help greatly.
yeah I tried looking for it but I yielded no results
For anyone having the same problem I managed to do it, all you have to do is:
run powershell as adminGet-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.Paint | Remove-AppxPackage
and then;
Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.Paint | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
and paint is back baaybeee
