Hi there,
I have an old Dell 24" (full HD) and I would like to change for a 27".
Is it a good choice for music production ?
Full HD, WQHD or 4K ? IPS or VA ? I must admit that I am a little lost in all of this.
What I would like is a fairly large display with a font that is not too small.
If you have any advice…
27 and Qhd is way to go. Just have in mind that some GUI (kontakt)…wont scale that good
I use 3 32" 1080P TVs - cheap and available used.
I use a 27" LG monitor that’s QHD and I absolutely love it. It has a 144Hz refresh rate too, and personally I like the extra smoothness you get from that on meters.
I think 4K is just a bit unnecessary, so QHD hits the spot nicely for me.
Well. scale to 120%, but scaled they loose crisp, sharpnes
I have 4K and wouldn’t go back. Any modern OS scales fonts and UI elements to whatever size you require - so this is a non-issue. The added screen real-estate from 4K is quite significant.
I would at least switch from a ‘full HD’ to a proper computer 1920x1200 resolution, but I would still recommend 4K if the cost is not a problem.
Get an ultra wide, I have a Samsung uw 32" with an illyama 24" touch screen under it.
