Ok so randomly my memory has suddenly gone down to 4gb from 8gb (I have 2 sticks of 4gb for reference) I have literally made 0 hardware adjustments in the past year so am completely stumped I have tried almost everything including reseating each of the sticks, swapping them over, doing multiple memory checks and I honestly don’t have a clue what happened initially it would kind of fluctuate between 8gb and 4gb on startup but now it’s just stuck on 4gb

Also worth noting that it seems to be the second slot that just is being wierd when looking at the bios

Is there anything else I can try or should I just give in and try and find a repair shop to fix it?

I have a dell g3 15 3500 gaming laptop btw and I have had it since I would say 3 years ago now for extra context incase that helps but I feel like 3years surely shouldn’t be long enough for wear and tear
