Hello guys. I’m working on building some computers and today arrived my new CPU + MoBo.
The problem is: When I try to boot, everything seens to work fine (leds, psu fans, cooler), but the screen doesn’t display.
What I tried:
- I already checked and this MoBo is completely compatible with this CPU.- I updated the BIOS, and installed the last version available on Asus website.- I have another Ryzen 5600G here, I tried and the same problem occurs with it.- I have a Ryzen 1600 here, I tried and it works fine, so the problem looks like it’s specific about the Ryzen 5600G.
- I tried using a GPU as well, and the same problem persists.
What are the odds that I got two defective Ryzen 5600G? They are both from different stores, reliable sellers here.
Also, the parts from my building is:
- Motherboard Asus Tuf Gaming A520M Plus II
- Ryzen 5600G
- PSU from MSI (650W)
- Ram 16GB DDR4 3200MHZ
Your motherboards description says “AMD AM4 socket: Ready for Ryzen™ 5000 Series/ 4000 G-Series/ 3000 Series Desktop Processors” It would be REALLY fucking stupid but they specifically say 4000 G series, is it possible they don’t have support for 5000 series APUs but have standard 5000 series support?
I honestly can’t think of anything else, I would be shocked if you got TWO dead 5600Gs and nothing else about the situation stands out as the issue.
