I am going through themes.gohugo.io. Great stuff.
I don’t understand the why?
This is all open source, so these folks aren’t making anything off their work. BUT, then one says open source following GNU…guidelines? And one says make a branch only to join the trunk later? help. Please help me in nice words, I am over mean people.

    I owe a lot of my success in my career as a technical writer to Hugo and some of the open source themes like learn.

    Now that I can make my own themes I’ve actually started to build an open source one for people like me. I like the idea of helping the next technical writer with all of the things I needed to figure out on my own.
