I was browsing online on my mobile device at work on company wifi when I visited a page and a message said the visit was flagged and logged. Now I had intune installed on my mobile device though the webpage I was using was not under my work profile (I’m using an android device) My question is will my employer be able to tell if it was my phone or me who visited the website or will they only be able to tell that a website was visted from a device on their network (I did uninstall intune I was already told I was dumb for installing it)
There is a possibility that they can see MAC address of device, name of device, etc If they provided Wi-Fi Acces for personal devices you should be ok. Hope is not a porn site, the It guys will be able what site you tried to access. In the future try to use only legit apps and websites while on job.
On the company wifi, doesn’t matter if you have the MDM installed or not, all network traffic can and should be logged. However, unless you make a habit of trying to visit prohibited sites no one will care.
If they’re letting personal devices on the internal network, they really don’t care.
As for InTune… if you need the access it allows for having it is not dumb. If you don’t then it was. :)
