Sorry, I’m fairly new to the whole PC building/gaming world and am mainly wanting to make sure I do my switch (6700XT to RTX 3090) the correct way the first time.

  • I know I need to uninstall the AMD drivers but am unsure how to be absolutely certain they’re gone
  • a friend suggested using DDU software as a final step, which makes sense, but…
  • Is there anything else I need to worry about? (and yes I have the proper PSU cables and a GPU support arm so no issues there)

Any and all help is appreciated!

There is a great guide on how to use DDU

AMD also has a clean up utility tool that uses much of the same code as DDU but it’s a lot more friendly for new users. You might wanna try that

After you have removed the drivers using either of these 2 shut down your computer and make sure to remove the power plug for good measure

    You got this!
