Both me and my housemate have this issue with the ethernet we’re pretty sure it’s an issue with our router since we both have it yet resetting it multiple times now have resulted in no change What is really confusing is that this is not the first time this has happened yet the issue seems to fix itself for like a couple of hours then goes back to no valid configuration If anyone has any ideas on the cause or solution please share because I am stumped

You are having a router issue. Specifically DHCP server on said router. Log into the routers admin page and make sure that the DHCP server is actually running.

Do you receive an IP address from the router when you connect through ethernet ? You can tell on Windows by entering the command “ipconfig /all” in CMD and by looking at the information under your ethernet card.

It would typically be in the 10.x.x.x range, 172.16.x.x range or 192.168.x.x range. Feel free to publish the output here
