I recently just began using my custom gaming PC again because I upgraded the GPU. Here is my build, the only change is that now I have an Asus RTX 4060: PCPartPicker Part List
Within a day of gaming, its become more and more unstable to the point where in is mostly just boot-looping and bluescreening now. Here are some of the error codes: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY, CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED.
I tried to clean install windows since its been like 7 or 8 years since I built this PC, but now I can’t making through the install process without BSOD. What could be the issue here? I’ve turned off XMP on the memory and reset the bios to all safe defaults. I’m hoping this is just bad RAM or SSD. What should my next steps be in diagnosing hardware issues?
Thanks!
You can check if it is ram using memtest:
How to run : https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/91174-run-windows-memory-diagnostics-tool-windows-10-a.html
How to get the results: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/91178-read-memory-diagnostics-tool-results-event-viewer-windows-10-a.html
(The results no longer appear automatically, because why would you want that - Microsoft)
Yeah I’ve read that’s a good tool, but my PC is so unstable at the moment that I can’t even download it.
