My PC is freezing for 1-2 seconds randomly at random times and happens about 20-30 times of whole day use, there is no pattern it’s random. But it happens a lot when I switch tabs but it also happens when im doing something… 1-2 seconds is not enough for me to not be able to finish my work but it’s enough to get hair loss from stress.
I have no way of doing back up for important files yet so reformatting windows will be my last resort. I checked for drive health and all softwares says my drive is healthy and isn’t dying. My Windows 11 is up to date always, and so is my Nvidia.
My PC doesn’t get BSOD or shut downs only freezing and when I double/triple click the taskbar or somewhere it goes not responding sometimes too.
On my computer it would randomly freeze like you mention but it would be for a few seconds each time and out of the blue with no rhyme or reason … i had a 8 and 4 gig memory chips … anyway i replaced the 4 gig chip to a 16 gig chip and it does not freeze no more …
the reason i say this is because i believe it was a memory chip problem since it stopped after changing chips and making sure everything was secured.
if so check to see if memory is seated properly first or check memory setting to see if it helps.
They all appear in my task manager so I assume they are all properly sitted. I passed the memory test too.
mine did as well , it was a dell with 12 gig ram 8 and 4 gig chip - everything checked ok for me too but it was odd that after changing the 4 with a 16 gig chip it stopped freezing up for me.
that is why i mentioned it. so maybe remove one chip to see if it still freezes …
anyway it was just a thought since it fixed the problem for me changing the one chip. it was just a thought.
if fact i was getting tired of the freezing and it was a older computer so i bought a new computer and it came with a 16 gig chip which i replaced that with bigger memory chips which gave me the free one to put into the old computer.
i had no blue screens or warning and it passed the tests i tried … but it was only after i changed that 4 to the 16 did it stop freezing … and i am still using it now responding to you.
