It’s not even a good machine, I tried to fix it, but I made it worse, I’m using another, even more broken computer to type this

I was just trying to make a Windows 10 boot drive using rufus, and when that didn’t work, it was the last time it booted normally

Things that broke:

  • Everything broke
  • the taskbar ceases to exist
  • I can’t even open task manager

I manged to boot to safe mode to grab some files, and now even safe mode does not work, I can’t even do a system restore to fix it, it refuses to boot to the correct menu (Always the one where you have to press numbers 1 - 9, not the advanced repair options I was meant to use)

Everything is broken, I’m depressed, please help, no joke, I’m crying

    When the .ISO image is burned to the USB, problems can occur. It’s better if you start the process from scratch.

    If you want to save files from your PC, do so first though. It’s highly recommended that you get a new image from the Media Creation Tool, then proceed with attempting to repair from the USB.

    An external disk will be very handy here too. Or another internal one for that matter.

    This is all going to take a while, so grab some tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. It’s going to be alright.
