Spec sheet :
NZXT Z490 ( mobo )
ZOTAC GTX 1080ti (Graphics card)
i9 11900KF ( cpu )
2 x 8 3200MHz Corsair vengeance pro ( ram ) x2
I recently purchased an additional 16gb ram kit from corsair to increase my capacity to 32gb however windows only displays my system as having 16gb available, this is in system information and in task manager.
In my BIOS all 4 sticks are recognised and in software like NZXT CAM the sticks also show up, however I’m assuming that’s just because CAM gets system info directly from the BIOS.
Each stick is working and functional, I’ve performed a clean boot with each stick, only using one stick at a time. all DIMM slots are also functional, curiously however if I try to boot with only two sticks and there occupy A1 and A2 my pc goes into a boot loop, every other combination works. I will also add, I’ve tried using only three sticks and I can boot but it wont recognise the 24gb in my stem
Attempted fixes :
Enabling / Disabling XMP
Unchecking Max memory in advanced boot settings ( was already unchecked )
Disabled auto paging files and set it to no paging file in advanced system settings
RAM reseat
I don’t know where to go from here, and before anyone asks, the CPU has no bent pins and my motherboards max memory capacity is 128GB
Sorry for late reply have been busy, tested with a different cpu and still had the same problem
A bad board or bad RAM perhaps then.
