I got my pc about a year ago, never had a problem with it. About a week ago, it started responding really slow and crashing randomly. I got a couple messages about the cpu overheating so I did a routine cleaning of the inside, and also reapplied a fresh layer of thermal paste. My cpu is supposed to run around 2.50ghz, meanwhile it’s running below 1.0ghz. I cleared storage, updated software, and cleared temp files, and nothing changed. Does anyone have any suggestions?
