Is using a shared IP safer in terms of ambiguity of browsing history? How do I make it safer for me so that the ISP can’t track what sites I use? I already have https on for chrome but I don’t want them to have any information of my browsing at all.

You can’t be fully anonymous on the internet.
Someone always has the information. If you use a VPN the VPN company has all your information.
And since https your provider only knows what website you’re visiting but doesn’t know what you click on these websites.
