He already wrote out the question. So ill copy and paste it for yall. He doesent use reddit

"I just bought a sim card & plan with Mint Mobile, and wanted to put it into my 2021 Moto G Play. However, every time I do, the phone says it’s not from Verizon, and whenever I try to switch it over, the My Verizon app says that it cannot switch carriers at this time.

I never wanted to use Verizon as my phone carrier, I never planned on having a phone number until recently. I think we haven’t paid for the Verizon plan for about 2 or 3 years, and I do not have any of the info for what would be my Verizon account.

is there any easy way I can get this new SIM card set up & working in my phone without having to deal with Verizon? Or am I basically out of luck?"

Apparently your telephone has a sim lock and only accepts sim cards from Verizon.

After two years you should be able to remove this lock for free. Just call Verizon.
