Norton keeps saying my laptop has over 9k issues and I need to buy ultimate to get it fixed. Though I feel like if that number was true my laptop would have blown up by now.

It amazes me how Norton keeps working its way into so many machines, despite so many people empirically showing it’s trash.
I daresay, out of the 9k supposed issues you have, Norton is one of them.
