Hi guys, so I had a folder of images and videos on my desktop that I stupidly cut and pasted on my external hard drive and now that external had drive is fucked. My question is whether it’s humanly possible to even recover that folder? (also no, I don’t have any system back-ups or anything like that)

    I’ll start with the obvious. Data restoration companies are your best bet. I’ve used them to great effectiveness, but they use a clean-room for a reason. Do not take apart your drive, or it really will be unrecoverable.

    Does your computer recognize it at all, in any way? How long ago did you do this cut + paste? Days? Weeks?
