As the title says, in the task manager my ram is at least 50% even in idle. And also, my chrome is taking like 1 and half GB with only 5 tabs… I have 16 GB ddr4 dual channel.

    Without information, it’s hard to tell you anything.

    The chrome usage sounds pretty normal, chrome loves ram. You very likely have background programs using up more ram. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it’s working as intended. If you could post a picture of your task manager, further advice could be given.

    Do you use windows? It has a ton of dumb background processes baked in that will eat up your RAM. Try disabling Microsoft Office Click to run unless you are using it all the time. You can also hit ctrl+shift+escape -> Startup apps -> And disable anything you don’t use.
