Hey guys, my laptop for the first time has had a virus. Pretty shaken up tbh.
I unfortunately got mcafee to remove it and it says it’s gone. Is McAfee really that bad?
All I was signed in on was Spotify and google and have 2FA on both and nothing suspicious or anything on either accounts and have changed my passwords.
I also had these google chrome pop up things that were saying ‘virus / trojan detected, get this antivirus software.’ I was able to reset my chrome and they have gone away…
I was just wondering if any of my personal information has been taken and whether or not I should delete my email?
You will get ads that pop up all the time saying you are at risk and they look so serious about it. Just look for the little tiny “X” in the corner and close the pop up. Those types of ads are disingenuous at their core.
