I am an idiot and downloaded something that I wasn’t supposed to and ended up with Barousel on my pc that made my games lag and crash. I did a factory reset and now it’s gone but I fear that it may have done something irreversible to the wifi related components in my pc like my wifi card or other wifi related software (if that’s a thing I’m really not versed in tech).

The issue is that I’ve had connectivity problems with the pc before attaining the virus so I really have no idea how to check if the virus hrlad really affected my wifi connection. When I first got the pc, it has download speeds of about 20mbps and now (3 days later) it is around 5mbps.

Is this possible?
