Hey y’all My tv has no usb entry, only HDMI. My router is too far away from my tv/chromecast, so the connection is trash.

Does a HDMI to USB adapter do so, that I can access my USB I put movies on? So that I basically gain a USB port on my TV? I have no clue how it works and I can’t find anything about it. Thanks in advance 😇

    No.

USB to HDMI can only get you a display output from USB, it doesn’t work the other way around. I.e. it can’t make USB devices available over HDMI.

Sorry I don’t understand. There is hdmi cord from tv to round chromecast thing. Then from chromecast to power outlet. I don’t get where you want me to put the USB, if I put chromecast in phone charger, which only has one usb entry. And I need the usb to work in tv, not chromecast. Sorry I’m not smart on this

Your TV does not need a USB port. The USB port for a Chromecast or Roku is only to deliver power.

Take an old phone charger, connect the USB cable to it and your streaming stick, then HDMI to the TV.

    Tada.
