Hello,

Looking for advice on storage; I’m upgrading my AMD system to an intel system and was hoping that I could just use the M.2 SSD that I use for boot/OS and plug directly into the new system. I’ve heard that this could be a bad idea or that you want to remove drivers (not sure how to do that), and I’ve also heard that it is totally fine to do with modern hardware. Could really use some advice.

Thanks!

It’s unsupported and might cause problems. That said, often it works just fine. The exception is Ryzen Master though, make sure you don’t have that installed. If it’s installed it will cause a blue screen on boot with an unsupported (= non Ryzen) CPU.
