So i have this dell prebuilt, and it stopped working some time ago, the power button doesnt work, but theres a little button on tha back that when i press it, a light next to it turns green and the fans go on high Help

    The button on the back is to test the power supply. Sounds like you have power but maybe there is still something wrong. When you plug in power is there any flashing lights / patterns on the power button in the front. If yes these flashing patterns are there to tell you if your ram has a bad stick or your motherboard is having issues. google your computer model and diagnostic light pattern and watch to see what color and pattern it is.

      I checked with my friends who built a pc, and they said all my stuff was old Also whenever i press the button a green light in the front under the disc drive turns on Also a red light turns on on a thing attched to the motherboard with a square ptterm on top Sorry for awful spelling im pretty tired
