I have a MacBook Air and something was stuck in between my computer that I didn’t notice and when I closed it I heard a crack. Now there’s like a crack in the shape of a circle around what I found out to be called the bezel? Although the damage is minimal and the computer runs fine I’m afraid the damage might spread. Should I take it Apple and see if I can get a quote or should I leave it be? I’m a broke college student and I have a lot of important items on there so please recommend the best option! I’ve had the computer for a little over a year but it was a graduation gift from my mom so I really don’t want to cause any more damage to it!

If its just the screen bezel and the screen itself isn’t damaged, I would glue the crack. Best to use epoxy but super glue will probably be fine. Neither will look pretty but its cracked anyways. Shouldn’t really cause any performance issues or loss of data.

Or you could replace it. The bezel isn’t expensive, and not hard to replace with the right tools, but most people probably wouldn’t try it.
