So about 3 months ago I ordered a Crucial branded SSD and just popped it into my laptop, ---->straight from the package<— and booted up with no issues. It’s been great since then, the space is what I needed and I’ve got no complaints. However, at some point I got a malicious browser extension on Edge that I cannot remove. How do I know it’s malicious? It redirects everything to bangsearchpro, which is a sketchy engine if ever I saw one. I don’t know how, I’m extremely safe online. The only thing I can think of is my utterly technically incompetent mother who now lives with me did something. She has an old, utterly obsolete degree in technology and is convinced that she’s the God of computers. It’s beyond Dunning Kruger, this is narcissism in that one area.I’ve tried everything. I’ve tried to uninstall Edge. I’ve tried to remove the extension. I’ve tried Google Fu, to no avail. It’s convinced my computer that it’s something installed by my organization (which doesn’t exist), and has thus basically done what a real life virus does - convinced the host it’s part of the host. So finally, I decided to just factory reset. I don’t claim to be a computer expert, not by any means. So this is where I am now. I can’t factory reset because it says there’s missing files. I’ll post pictures of that if needed. I can’t boot from a drive, make a recovery disk, etc. I’ve tried downloading a fresh install of Windows, but bootloader just looks at the drive and says it’s never seen this bastard in its life. Same with a recovery disk. I made one on a computer that runs the same OS. It doesn’t recognize it as a valid point of installation, or whatever (idk the terminology). No antivirus is flagging the extension either. Any help will be appreciated. I still have the old SSD, and it is still in working condition.

OS is Windows 11. Computer is Lenovo IdeaPad. RAM is 32 GB (shut up, I know I put a dragster engine in a Honda Fit).
