I feel so silly for asking this but it’s difficult to tell. I just bought a new monitor (KOORUI 25E3A) and i’m unsure if this is just a plastic sheet to protect from scratches in shipping or a protective film meant to stay in the monitor to reduce glare or whatever

havnt fussed with it yet. a couple of the other monitors i’ve bought have come with a plastic sheet on the screen or around the edge but it not sure about this one.

I’ve never seen a plastic film on a screen that wasn’t meant to be peeled off. They’re usually to protect the glass and keep it clean. If it’s optically fine, you can keep it on if it doesn’t bother you.

if it’s removable it will usually have an obvious tab, typically at the corner, to remove the film.

Don’t want you to accidentally remove the polarising layer.

To me that doesn’t look like it’s meant to be peeled off. If it has t got a tab, just leave it on there.

It doesn’t look like its meant to be removed, my guess is it’s an anti-glare film. Pick it it gently with your fingernail and if it lifts easily go for it, if not just leave it
