Context - My PC has been acting weird for the last few weeks, sometimes I notice the screen going black (or “tinted”) for a split second and go back to normal maybe once every 10-30 minutes. I often don’t even notice it.
I have a brand new windows laptop, and have downloaded a ton of things (primarily game mods), though i’ve taken precautions with Virustotal and windows defender.
I’m guessing it could be some sort of easier to hide malware where it only activates every once in a while to “screenshot” whatever i’m looking at, at that time and send it back to the host?

If it’s going dark/black randomly, someone may be accessing your computer remotely and darkening the screen so that you don’t see what they’re up to. Google RAT or random access trojan.
