I recently had to get a new HDD because my last one died. Had to reinstall everything (OS, drivers, the whole thing)
My PC runs games smoothly and has no problem rendering videos in 1080p.
HOWEVER,
When I go to use OBS Studio to record (OBS is not set to record super high quality), suddenly my video recording is terrible. Have to run the game on low so I don’t have problems with FPS drops in the recording. The game runs fine on the PC but when I see the recording I get FPS drops to 57 to sometimes 40. CPU% while recording is between 0.3-4.0. All my drivers are updated. It feels like my PC is struggling to get enough power to record and run games. Sometimes I have share my screen on Discord and also record the screen causing once again FPS drops.

Also uploading videos to YouTube or Google Drive take longer now than before the HDD replacement. I can watch streams and videos at 1080p with no problem. I know it’s my PC because all the other devices in the house work fine. My router is also up to date with it’s firmware.

Any suggestions or ideas would be awesome!

I checked all of that and all of it is set to max perf. The windows game DVR was already disabled.
I am still having the same problems.
