So I basically went to a guy who works in recycling and I bought 8 512gb ssd’s for 50$ knowing full well that I am gambling. They are, surprisingly, all working, but are protected with some bit locker shit.

Windows is locked, and when I try to format ssd from boot menu it says its protected with bitlocker that can be turned off in control panel, to which I dont have access…

Is there any way to surpass that?

Depending on what brand they are, see if you can get the management app for them. Many brands have it, some don’t. This will do a few things like tell you if the drives have the latest firmware on them, and also total TB written and a “health” status. If the drives report a ton of TB written they could be close to end of life.
