Hi everyone! I have a problem with my PC’s RAM. Last week I cleaned my PC and also changed the thermal paste of my liquid cooler. To do this I removed all 4 RAMs from the slots. I reassembled everything exactly as it was before, but now when I turn on the PC, if I insert all 4 RAMs a yellow light turns on on the motherboard which then turns red and the PC doesn’t turn on, doing various tests I discovered that if I don’t insert the RAM in the third slot all works fine but obviously I lose 8GB of memory, i tried to reset the CMOS by removing the battery for 10/15 minutes but nothing changed, how can I solve this problem? Why if i remove the Ram from the third slot everything work?

Motherboard: Asus Prime z590-a Prime

Ps: i don’t have a Reset CMOS button so i do it manually.

You might want to try reseating the CPU, it seems relatively unlikely, but removing the CPU cooler and then reapplying it might have caused some slight positional/pressure adjustment to the CPU that’s causing it to not have a great connection to the pins that connect to the 3rd RAM slot.

When reseating the CPU cooler, make sure to get everything pressured equally by trying to slightly tighten opposite corners little by little, rather than just tightening one corner down first. Also you may want to try tightening it a little less at first for testing purposes, to make sure it’s not too tight and causing something like mounting pressure issues.
