So when you go to the specifications it says “8g RAM” followed by “16g of installable RAM” ? I’m sorry if this is an obvious question but what do they mean by that? Does that mean I get extra sticks of RAM in the box or?

It might be that they opened the laptop and added more but it probably means there’s 1 slot open and the 8gb is soldered. However 24gb ram max is pretty low it’s usually 32 so there might be 1 filled slot which could be upgraded to a 16gb stick
