I only know enough to assemble a pc, but not so much in trouble shooting (bear with me im on mobile)

Star of the show: ideapad 3-15IIL05 Laptop - Type 81WE

Problem: When I press the power button, the light comes on, and the fan spins, but the display won’t light up and i cant toggle the caps lock key/no keyboard lights. I was told that the hard drive (only one on pc) was completely full, and just stopped working one day. I can tell the backlight works, I can see it faintly when I turn it on/off.

I’ve tried: draining the battery; thing the reset pin button for 3 sec; doing the lenovo power cycle thing; attaching an external monitor; letting it sit on for a few hours; took out the ram and put it back in; to boot in bios.

I like to problem solve, but this one’s got me. It doesn’t look like there’s any internal damage, but it does have a corner thats dented and the plastic is cracked. Has anyone dealt with a similar laptop issue?

took out the ram and put it back in; to boot in bios.

So you can get it to successfully boot into bios? With a working screen and keyboard?
